Director of Girls Lacrosse
True’s multifaceted approach to training lacrosse players has garnered a reputation for being the leader in developing skilled, smart athletes. We offer players more training hours to perfect their skills and grow their game, access to professional, experienced coaches who have proven themselves both as students and teachers of the game. True teams gain exclusive entry into some of the top tournaments in the country, where they will get to put their skills to the test against other competitive teams. True Lacrosse provides thorough recruiting guidance to help players whose goal it is to compete at the next level and find the school and program that best fits their academic and athletic needs.
When you join the True Family you become part of a supportive network. Coaches, parents, and young athletes all work together to create a positive, educational environment, which players can fulfill their potential and become their best selves. The lessons and skills they learn on the field will serve them throughout their daily lives, such as teamwork, accountability, leadership, and hard work.
We welcome players from high school graduating classes 2020-2028 to tryout for the 2018-2019 season with True Pittsburgh Girls!
Just as we have from the beginning, True Lacrosse will once again offer more training hours than any other club in the area. We believe for players to become the best they can be, they need a regular training schedule that offers a comprehensive regimen for them to grow their game and build on what they’ve learned. From practice to team training to additional training opportunities offered regularly throughout the year, True Lacrosse players get more time on the field, resulting in a much better performance.
Every True practice, team training, clinic and camp features our experienced, dedicated coaching staff. Our coaches are hand-selected and must meet True’s rigorous qualifications before they can work with players.
Our longstanding place in the game and reputation for hosting some of the best players in the area allows True access to the top tournaments in the country, guaranteeing our players get exposure to more college coaches, better competition, and more recruiting opportunities. We regularly receive invitations to exclusive recruiting events and tournaments.
Exceptional Recruiting Guidance
Playing in front of college coaches is only part of the recruiting process. Every True Lacrosse player will receive step-by-step guidance throughout every part of his or her recruitment. We have a vast network of support and maintain positive relationships with nearly every college coach in the game today. True Lacrosse players and their families are given all the tools they need to navigate the process with ease and help them find a school where they will be challenged, happy, and ultimately successful, just as so many True girls before them have!
These teams are structured to promote growth by continuity in play. Instead of only running in the summer, we plan on practicing all fall, then continuing to practice once a week in winter. Once the respective youth and high school seasons start, we say good luck to our True teammates and take a hiatus in the action. We then are much more prepared to deal with the chaos that ensues once the summer tournament season begins. After a fall and winter to learn college style systems, and build off each other, it gives that extra edge leading into the summer. Then prototypical to most clubs, we will attend three summer events.
